We felt very lucky to have found this place. It was obviously larger than we needed as a couple so presumably would have been better value for a family group. The surrounding area is delightful and, at the time we were there, very peaceful. More than once we were the only people even on a beautiful yet totally deserted beach. The weather was overall better than forecast which added to our satisfaction but even on cold evenings, Tigh Ceit could be made snug and warm.

Donald’s place is a great location if nature is what you are looking for. Located very close to a beautiful beach and you have great views at your doorstep. It has easy access to local amenities - walking distance to a local hotel/pub and shops. The house itself is homely, Donald leaves a folder with some of the history of the house which we found very interesting, and it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. His instructions were very clear and his advice on things to do around was very useful. He was also very friendly and made himself easy to reach. Overall excellent place to stay in the north and excellent host, highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Donald’s traditional family crofters cottage. The house had everything we needed and we settled in really easily. The location is brilliant with stunning views. Having the most beautiful beach so close by which we always had all to ourselves was a real treat! Thank you!

This is a peaceful place in a beautiful remote part of Scotland. The beaches are incredible even in December. The perfect escape place. Donald is an excellent host, responsive and very helpful. The cottage contains everything needed for a relaxing break. It was warm and cozy and we have a very special New Year’s Eve there. One we will never forget. The cottage matched the description perfectly and exceeded our expectations.
