Great cottage. Really good size. Lovely quiet location. Home from home. Cozy and comfy. Main bedroom is spacious. Good size twin room too. Very peaceful stay. The owners were also kind enough to let us stroke their horses each evening, much to my nieces delight! A lovely little added bonus. I would highly recommend.

Superb cottage. Everything thing you need for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Tucked away in a quiet setting with only bird songs for company. Centrally situated to tour Cornwall and into Devon. Would highly recommend and will definitely make a return visit.

We stayed one week in Hay’s Cottage, which is surrounded by agricultural land and nurseries and about two miles from the nearest shop. It was clean, roomy and quiet. Bedrooms and beds were good. In fact the master bedroom was perfect. Heating the house at this time of the year was a bit of an issue as the oil-fuelled boiler based in the kitchen produced fumes. It was necessary to keep windows open to get rid of the paraffin-like smells. I suppose this is not such an issue in warmer times. The house itself was lovely, the setting quiet, peaceful and green. Kitchen had all the white goods needed for our stay. Good base to explore Cornwall.

30th December - 3rd Jan (family of 4 (7 yr old and 11yr old)). Apart from finding the house in the pitch black, Sat nav took us just past it so had to turn around, Graham and Jo (hosts) had left the heating on and the lights on, so it was nice and cozy. The photos did it justice, the house was clean and tidy, hosts were perfect, there was just enough things to keep us busy, we used the house as a base to have breakfast and tea in. Once you work out the temperature, the house was lovely and warm, the hot water needed aadjusting but that was this time of year. Lounge was comfortable and homely, dining room had plenty of space to eat, kitchen is small but big enough for 1-2 people preparing food and had all you really needed to warm up food (pizza etc.) Bedrooms are a good size, main bedroom was ample and the bed was very comfortable and the best bit, it was pitch black so no noise and lights from anywhere but the moon and stars. The cottage is based about 4 miles from St Austell, but we didn't really need to go in apart from the odd trip to the local store/petrol station on the way back. 45 mins drive to St Ives and Looe so good location if you like been out of it. Overall an absolute joy, hosts were brilliant, house was clean and tidy... Thank you.
