A lovely stay with family, Lisa was very helpful and a baby gate was quickly put in place and a highchair for our grand daughter. Plenty of bathrooms all very clean, well equipped kitchen and cosy lounge area. Lots of breakfast items were provided and basic condiments were supplied also. We all enjoyed our stay in Tintinhull, and thanks to Lisa for making it more enjoyable 😊
Great stay in Tintinhull. We were there for a wedding and it provided us with exactly what we required.
Fantastic cottage in a lovely village in a great location for exploring Somerset. Lisa was very friendly and had provided everything you could need for breakfast for the whole family. In addition there was an abundance of information of the surrounding areas and places to visit making it easy to plan our days. And finally the children loved watching the chickens and cockerels roam around the gardens, trying to work out which one was responsible for the early morning wake up call.
Amazing place and location. Very helpful host who went much beyond what was expected of her to make us feel welcome. Lisa, her partner and her neighbour all helped us so much when we got stuck with a ripped car tyre and without a car jack, spanners or a spare tyre! The house is so beautiful and the chicken feeding was the highlight for our 8 year old.
We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful , well presented accommodation in a lovely villagw. Good location to access lots of attractions without having to travel to far.

Easy to find, Tintinhull is just off the A303, the route to Devon and Cornwall. Here, you and your family and friends can find peace and tranquillity, while being a short distance from some of Dorset and Somerset’s pretty market towns.
A little further afield lie the attractions of Bath and Bristol, mysterious Stonehenge, the West Somerset Steam Railway and coastline to the north and south. The area also benefits from good train and coach links to London.

Built as a farmhouse, High House was attached to a much older building, an 18th century dairy, which remained in use until the 1960s, when it was refashioned as a garage to house an increasing number of motor cars. In the 1980s new owners wanted more space for their growing family and the garage was remodelled into a lounge for children and dogs to relax in, and what country residence would be complete without a number of utility rooms? A pantry, a larder and a laundry, with the hayloft above for attic space and extra bedrooms. Lisa and Fred, who arrived in 2015, were keen to recapture the essence of the barn it once was and set about revealing the ham stone pillars and old elm beams that lay beneath the late twentieth century modernity, at the same time adding windows and doors and a few 21st century comforts. Today the old pantry and cleaning cupboard form the kitchen of The Dairy, the laundry became a downstairs bedroom, whilst a staircase leads up to the old loft, now the master bedroom. Although farmland and outbuildings were sold for redevelopment many years ago, and today the owners both have full-time jobs, a hint of rural lifestyle lingers; sheep still graze the field and hens enjoy the freedom of the garden. At dawn the cockerel might be just too far away to wake you.
