Michalis was a great host; any questions or queries were dealt with quickly. The house is lovely and exactly as stated in the listing. Clean and well presented. It's in a suburb so well away from any tourism (so no local restaurants). There was some traffic noise and from local residents (just background, not disruptive); house is double glazed and silent indoors. Air-con worked well and kept the indoors just right. Loads of space to park no the private drive. Michalis left much appreciated water and some basics in the full-height fridge-freezer (excellent). Gas powered barbeque very easy to use. Garden is lovely to sit in to chill out (lights up in the evening) and the wall provides privacy from road traffic. Next door is a coffee shop; €1.90 for a double-shot americano! #17 bus to/from Chiana (€2 each way) every 1 hour-ish; pay by card on the bus. Invisible bus stop is outside the coffee shop. Summary: An excellent place and host. We'd recommend to anyone.

I’ve been staying with Airbnb for several years now and I can say that this has been by far the best place I’ve been to. The villa is astonishing as it has a private parking and TWO private gardens. The house is very clean and perfectly equipped for a long stay. It was very easy to move around the island (from the house we went to Elafonisi, Falassarna, Balos and Plakias with an easy drive!). But, most importantly, Michalis has been an incredible host. His responses were accurate and quick. The only thing we regret is not having had the chance to meet him as we left early in the mornings and spent the whole day around. We are grateful to Michalis for giving us the opportunity of having such an unforgettable time at his place.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce logement. Le jardin tropical est magnifique et invite à la détente. Nous avons été très bien accueilli avec notamment des oranges fraiches dans le frigo et Michalis a été très attentif à notre bien-être. Par ailleurs ce logement est très bien situé proche de la canée et des commerces. Je recommande sans hésiter et espère y retourner lors d'un prochain voyage en Crète.

We loved our stay at the Tropical Garden House. The grounds are stunning and a great place for having a barbecue at home, which we did. Its about 10 minutes drive into Chania, and very close to the freeway, which makes it a great location if you are planning to explore western Crete by car. Mike was very generous, and always responsive via text message. Highly reccomend.
