We had an extremely pleasant stay at the Gearin and check in was very straight-forward. It's close to the railway station and the center of Katoomba. The building is very charming and the facilities meet every requirement making the Gearin a good option for a place to stay whilst exploring the Blue Mountains.

Eine sehr spezielle Unterkunft, die aus einer längst vergangenen Zeit zu kommen scheint. Für Personen mit nicht den allerhöchsten Ansprüchen an Komfort und Interesse für historische Orte eine unbedingte Empfehlung. Der Kaffee im On the Soulside Café im Erdgeschoss ist ein Muss! Sehr hilfreiche Tips zur Erkundung der Umgebung gab es vom Vermieter und anderen Gästen. Ein hervorragender Startpunkt in die Blue Mountains auch für Menschen, die ohne Auto unterwegs sind.

Fun to stay in this great old building and iconic piece of Katoomba history. Lots of character and perfect location. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Happily stay there again.
