We were 2 families, 6 people all together including a toddler. We requested for a high chair on the day of arrival and it was promptly provided. The cottages are really nice and spacious. Its almost a mile away from any main road, so only sound of birds chirping and cows mooing (if they) what you can hear. We didnt have a lot of to interact with the owner as we had busy plans for everyday but we met Alisa before check in and she was very friendly. We have stayed in few wooden cottages and this one was by far the best in terms of value for money. It was really heartening to find some of the extras e.g. a full bottle of cow milk in the fridge from the local dairy, tea bags, salt and peper and other daily items provided. The decor of the rooms was really nice and aesthetically very pleasing. I hope to come back again jsut to enjoy the cottage and its surroundings rather than driving off everyday. Last but not the least its an excellent location for driving around along nc500 east or west!

Très beau chalet, calme et cosy. Très jolie décoration. Tous les équipements sont présents, il y a même des jeux pour les enfants. L'emplacement est idéal pour des petites balades avec des enfants en bas âges (3-7-10 ans) et pour rayonner dans la région. Nous avons adoré ces 4 jours paisibles. Merci!

Within minutes of arriving I could have happily sold our house and moved in. Beautifully decorated, homely and comfortable. Every detail has been thought of, from the exquisite hand soap to the beyond comfy bed and marshmallow soft bedding. Fully equipped kitchen, all the utensils you need for your stay. Great welcome pack for both us and our dog too. Windows on all sides of the lodge with wood, hillside and highland cow views. Neighbouring buildings screened with hedging, didn’t feel overlooked at all. Garden space on all sides. Woodland situated at the bottom of the drive for excellent dog walks long and short. Central location that feels remote but only a 5 minute drive to the local village which has a well stocked co-op, bakery etc. We day tripped to the beautiful Black Isle and the white sandy beaches of Nairn. The nicest holiday let that we have ever stayed in, will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

This lodge was amazing and it was a perfect location for home base the week we spent in the Highlands! To be able to come “home” to somewhere warm and cozy and to see the gorgeous sunset was wonderful. I would high recommend staying here!
