We had a delightful stay in Brian’s and Carla’s suite in Mission Beach just steps from the beach and the strand. Mission Beach and Pacific Beach are where the action is and things were hopping over Memorial Weekend, but the suite is tucked away enough that we had a relatively peaceful stay. The suite is like a high-end hotel room with all the things you need and more. The bed is plenty comfy, the bathroom small but well designed, and the mini-kitchen stocked with coffee and supplies for eating or heating take-out. The added perks are a lovely patio with four Adirondacks and a gas fireplace, and a collection of beach gear and bikes for guest use. We didn’t do the beach, but we did take the cruisers for a 12-mile spin along Mission Beach and around the bay. The hosts live upstairs, and when we put out a message for more pillows, Brian responded in less than 10 minutes and we had pillows in hand. All in all, it was a fantastic stay in Mission Beach.

Brian and Carla’s place is the perfect little getaway! The location was great, minute walks to the beach, lots of restaurants within a 5-10 walk. I really appreciated their hospitality and friendliness.

Wow, this is one of the most thoughtfully supplied Airbnbs I've ever visited. Every little thing was thought of to make the stay easier and more convenient. USB outlets by the bed? Got it. Plenty of clothing hangers? Check. Cold water already in the fridge? Awesome. An outdoor chest with all the beach gear essentials (chairs, bags, balls, etc.)? Awesome. Bikes? Yep! Found a spot for a full length mirror? Yep. White noise machines & several fans? Indeed... Some of these things are rather basic and *should* be commonplace but that unfortunately isn't always the case, and when it isn't it can be a major inconvenience. But, none of that was a problem here. :) The location is also perfect; a 1min walk to the beach, 1min walk to the bay, and 5-10min in either direction to get to the main thoroughfare of Mission or Pacific beach. This is on the smaller side (interior space wise) compared to some of my past bookings, but what it lacks in space it more than makes up for in every other way.

This was a great stay in San Diego. The place is steps from the beach, we walked to a bunch of restaurants. We loved the bikes and rode all around. Basic amenities are provided, very similar to a hotel room. Fridge, coffee (bring your own cream), microwave. Really great value.
