Truly a slice of heaven, I highly recommend Lesley and Ian’s gîte. So close to all the big sites of the dordogne while you can still find privacy and quiet at night. The perfect combination of feeling isolated while having everything you could need at the house and at nearby towns. The house is beautifully appointed and full of history. It was lovely to start the morning with one of the many activities in the area and finish the day by the pool, sunbathing around their beautiful expansive property, or just sitting outside and watching the landscape change. Lesley and Ian provided me with some treats (the best local pate!) which was beyond generous and made me feel right at home. Do not pass up a chance to stay here.

Une très belle maison pour découvrir le Périgord Noir. L’accueil et l’accompagnement de Lesley et de son mari Yan a été très agréable et soigné de notre arrivée jusqu’à notre départ. Ils sont toujours disponibles pour vous conseiller et répondre à vos demandes tout en étant très discrets pour que vous vous sentiez comme chez vous. L’environement est très calme et reposant. La maison est très jolie avec un magnifique jardin très bien entretenu et une belle vue sur la vallée. Il y a tous les équipements nécessaires et ils sont de qualités. La piscine est très agréable et nous avons pu en profiter tous les jours. Il y a de nombreux restaurants et divertissements dans un rayon de 15 kms autour de Bars. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour grâce à Lesley et Yan et nous espérons pouvoir y séjourner à nouveau dans quelques temps. Si vous recherchez un logement pour découvrir la région, n’hésitez pas celui ci est parfait et le rapport qualité prix est excellent.

We had a wonderful week at le Petit Maison. Whilst isolated, the house, pool and gardens are stunning, very well maintained and so tranquil. The covered area is perfect for daytime shade and evening dining. The area around the pool is really pleasant and immaculately kept. Lesley and Ian are lovely hosts. Discrete but friendly, we enjoyed chatting to them. Every need is catered for in the house. A great escape for a week.
