I spent a total of 31 days at the cave of the cat, it was the perfect retreat, peaceful, quiet and the views were stunning. If you are looking for something different then you won’t be disappointed. I wanted the solitude and time to recharge my batteries, a place that allowed me a base where I could visit the many attractions on the island. Jaun made it one of the best vacations I have had, from the moment he greeted me with a bottle of wine made from his own vines I knew I was in a winner.

The adventurous drive is well worth it to find a well appointed cave house with beautiful patio high up an isolated valley. Juan Carlos was very friendly and informative. A quiet and peaceful bolt hole.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le logement aménagé avec beaucoup de soin par Juan Carlos et Teresa. Lieu extraordinairement paisible. Nous le recommandons vivement. Les hôtes sont très gentils et ont beaucoup à raconter.

Wir können uns unseren Vorrednern nur anschließen. Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft gelegen und wir haben unseren Aufenthalt und die Ruhe wirklich sehr genossen. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und verfügt über Alles, was es für einen Urlaubsaufenthalt braucht. Die Gastgeber Juan Carlos und seine Frau sind sehr herzlich. Es stimmt, dass die Anfahrt über eine steile Schotterstraße mit dem Auto etwas abenteuerlich ist, dafür wird man aber mit einem herrlichen Ausblick über die Berge belohnt. Sehr weiterzuempfehlen! We chose this location totally from the photographs and replies from other guests. Our 2-week trip to “Granca” as Norwegians call the island, would not be a typical hotel and sun vacation. We wanted to explore the island and surround us with the locals and their daily life. Must admit that the first drive from the highways to the location was a real eye-opener. But with a small car, a GPS, and a steady driver, it is quite ok. And after exploring the island nature during the daytime, we appreciated coming back to our own private “cave” in the evening. Were often met by the owners dog, Rusty, and her mate Calle. The mornings were spent outside, watching the sun rise, listening to. a rooster crowing in the distance. The “cave” was just as charming as the photos depict. Clean, spacious, and with just about everything you need, though I missed having an oven to bake our Friday frozen pizza in. The hosts are very helpful. We would love to come back again!
