The silo chic loft was perfect for my weekend getaway. I absolutely loved the decor and vibe of the loft and building. It was just as pictured, but even better in person! The place was clean and easy to get to. Jim was clear on his instructions and responded quickly! All my questions were answered and it had everything I needed! The loft is on the 2nd floor, with no elevator, so if that’s an issue, probably not the best place for you. My favorite part of my experience was how thorough and proactive Jim was. There was a binder filled with local places to eat, drink, shop and things to do. He provided descriptions of all the places so it was easy to find what suited me best! I already had ideas, but I changed my mind on a few due to his recommendations. I was able to park my car in his garage and was able to walk to the highlight of my trip… the Silos at Magnolia. I highly recommend this place! I would come back and hopefully get to experience another loft too!
I can’t say enough positive things about the Green Door Lofts! The pics don’t do it justice, it’s just amazing! The owners were so very friendly, the loft is gorgeous, squeaky clean, has everything you need. They go above and beyond leaving extras in the bathroom for toiletries you may have forgotten. There is plenty to do within walking distance, if you have kids plenty to do within a couple of miles. The pool is heated😍 we will be back over and over. I’ve found my new favorite Airbnb in Texas:)
Absolutely Spectacular! Jim/Cindy are wonderful. So kind, friendly and helpful! We loved the airbnb and surrounding area. We walked everywhere!
I had a nice stay. Jim is a really nice guy who tries to be accommodating. keep in mind that there is no elevator so if you have a lot of luggage, you're going to get a workout.
Jim is the absolute best host - our stay was so enjoyable! The parking and location is key for staying in the area. So easy and safe! The pool was the perfect spot to cool off after a hot Texas day! Jim made tons of recommendations and was always available! Our loft was adorable, so clean, and had everything we need! Would highly recommend to anyone!

Hello, my name is Jim Olmsted. I am the owner of the Green Door Lofts. In my real life, I am a 56 year old physician specializing in radiology. In my alter ego life, I am an outgoing host who enjoys meeting people and sharing my vibrant community with visitors from all over the world. I have lived in Waco for 25 years, having relocated downtown to the lofts four years ago. Useless trivia about me is that I own at least eight bicycles; I've lost count. I enjoy racing all of them, mountain, road, gravel, and even Ironman triathlon. Downtown living is perfect for me as many of our rides in Waco depart from downtown riverfront area, and the world renowned Cameron Park trail system is less than a mile away. A proud father of two sons, both young physicians, I enjoy traveling the world with my boys and my friends. Owning and managing the Green Door Lofts is my newest exciting adventure. I look forward to meeting new people and sharing my incredible community with them.
