First of all I am from Columbia therefore I know the area and what to expect in general. The house is not perfect…it is 100+ years old so you expect a little quirkiness. If you love and respect old houses then the house is perfect. If you expect a modern home without 100 year old character then it isn’t the right home for you. Personally I have loved this house my entire life, it was a very prestigious home in its younger years. The outdoor space (8 acres) was exactly what we needed to visit with family that has small children. They could safely run around while the adults visited. Most of the acreage is in the back so again the adults could hang out on the back porch and let the kids run wild. Negatives if you want to be extremely picky. The house could have been a little cleaner. One outdoor trash can was full, the porches were covered with pollen however everything is in blooming season and the house is surrounded by huge old trees. We will def stay again when visiting.

We enjoyed our stay at The Southern Belle. The house has been beautifully restored. It was comfortable and provided the perfect place for us to enjoy time together as a family. Nik was an excellent host and always responded promptly to me. The location is great and easy to find. You are close to everything in downtown. I would definitely stay there again.

The house is beautiful and extremely spacious. Comfortable beds and lots of extra touches made our stay very comfortable. We appreciated the prompt communication from Nik and Maggie and would definitely stay again, if we are in this area in the future.

I love this house! Plenty of room. Great sitting areas outside, sat in the swing on the front porch every evening. I will definitely stay again when I am in the area.
