John and Marc’s guesthouse was absolutely beautiful and we felt right at home at their abode in the old city of Nanaimo. It is surrounded by lush greenery and the interior is beautifully decorated. They were lovely hosts and even baked fresh cookies for us, which were incredibly good. Very spacious inside too, with excellent amenities—absolutely worth more than the price, I can’t recommend staying here enough!

A lovely sanctuary in old town Nanaimo. Cosy, well appointed cottage. Appears bigger inside because of high ceilings. Lots of thoughtful touches like stained glass and a flower box for privacy and a wall of bushy plants outside a window. Kitchen is very well stocked with extras like cooking oils, some spices, sweeteners. Lots of appliances. Good pots and pans, knives and glassware. There is a collection of books and games, lots of information brochures and art for the souls. The garden is a testament of a love for plants and design with the melodies of various wind chimes to calm. What a sweet spot. John and Mark are responsive and gracious hosts. I hope to chat with them more on my next visit.
