South Anchorage home on a quiet neighborhood street. Approx 13 minutes from the airport. Easy access to highway, 2 miles from Potter's Marsh , 5 minute drive to beluga whale watching and McHugh Creek area with numerous hiking trails! Guests will have access to the home with private entrance, 3 bedrooms, 1 bath plus a bonus "sun room". Fully equipped kitchen and plenty of space to relax after a day of Alaska adventures. Bedroom 1 has one single bed and one pull out trundle bed. Bedroom 2 has two single twin beds. Bedroom 3 has two single twin beds. Bedroom 4 has one queen sized bed. Access to entire upstairs. Downstairs and garage are not included. We live in the separate lower level apartment of the home (basement with separate entrance) so we will occasionally be on site. However, we camp and travel in the summer so will also be gone often. Neighbors have cute alpacas. We have a chicken coop in the back yard, but it is currently not housing any chickens. Guests have full and private access to backyard and outside deck and grill.

We had an amazing stay at Jeff’s and Heidi’s place! Plenty of sleeping arrangements and the beds are comfortable. Living room is spacious and house has everything you may need. The best part was hands down the backyard and fresh eggs that guests are allowed to collect. Our kids absolutely loved chicken and alpacas at the neighbor’s house. The hosts are so kind and helpful. They gave us so many amazing detailed recommendations on things to do in and near Anchorage. We even got to chat with Heidi and her daughter when they stopped by and they encouraged us to go feed chicken and explore their garden. Amazing place for families with kids, we were sad to leave!
Wonderful locality, nice and cozy home and a very communicative and warm host. the house was very clean, well stocked and supported by the host. We found the locality well connected as well. The host went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. I highly recommend the place!
We enjoyed this family friendly home! Our kids loved the loft beds. It was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the area and the neighborhood seems nice. It’s also a quick drive to the airport. My kids enjoyed visiting with the backyard chickens and we had fresh eggs for breakfast! I would recommend this house, especially for families.
Wonderful house in an established Anchorage neighborhood. Easy access to shopping and restaurants and major roadways. Host are friendly and answer questions promptly.
Amazing and comfortable house, and Jeff and Heidi respond quickly should anything come up. Convenient location for sight-seeing all around Anchorage.

The neighborhood is a quiet one. Lots of great streets for walking in the evenings. There are two parks within walking distance, Stephenson Park is literally a block away.
Anchorage Remade, a local handicraft and refurbished one of a kind decor and furniture shop, is just down the road. A fun place to take handicraft classes and pick up a unique Alaskan treasure.
We ask that you respect our neighbors, no parties, loud music etc. We do after all have to live here the rest of the year and would like our neighbors to still talk to us when we do.
No smoking and no pets. (Our son has severe allergies. Please, please help us keep him healthy.)
There are a couple of fun small bike paths within a short distance. Views of the ocean can be seen a short couple of blocks from the house. You can even take a small hike down the Bluff park path to check out the ocean views.

Jeff and Heidi-Kakayers, hikers, and campers. We love Alaska and hope you enjoy your time here too! We are Alaska residents of 8 years, came up here to try it out for a year and fell in love with all that Alaska has to offer and plan on never leaving.
