Main Level: The main level offers gas log fireplace in the greatroom with vaulted ceiling, custom leather furniture, Smart Flatscreen TV with Satellite. Dining area with sliding doors to the covered deck, farm table, breakfast nook, spacious well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, both drip and Keurig coffee maker, and all you desire for a large family meal.Master suite offers king bedroom set, on-suite full bath, satellite-smart TV, and access to the covered deck. Main level also offers laundry area and half bath. Upper Level:2 spacious bedrooms, one with smart TV and desk. Full bathroom with tub/shower. Lower Level: Spacious family room offers satellite-smart TV, reclining sofa and bunk with twin & full sleeping. Smart Satellite TV. Third full bath with walk-in shower. Outside enjoy the main level covered deck overlooking the New River and mountain views. Gated for your small dog and children. It offers high-top patio set with gas fire pit, 4 rocking chairs, and covered charcoal grill just off the deck. (NO Deep Fryers to be used on property.) Open wood burning fire pit, a short walk between the New River and the cabin. Walk down to the river and enjoy the riverside fire pit. The kids will enjoy the tree swing. Three kayaks are provided for your use. Guests to provide their own life jackets. ***NO Deep Fryers to be used on property. Other amenities: WIFI, iron, ironing board, books, games, 3 kayaks, 1 canoe, (Bring your life jackets), interior gas log fireplace, central heat & air, 2 wood burning fire pits, Gas fire pit, Washer, Dryer, Fully Equipped Kitchen, Charcoal Grill, Rockers, Tree Swing, Patio Set, smart satellite TV's, gated deck. firewood. Beautiful home and surroundings....pics do not do it justice! Loved the privacy and the sound of the water. Large enough for our entire family and everyone commented on how nice the place was. West Jefferson was a hop, skip and jump away and we definitely enjoyed exploring the downtown. The whole trip was lovely, even the snow (and I'm NOT a winter person!). Loved the fireplace and the dining room table was large enough to play board games. The downstairs was perfect for the younger adults (fellas enjoyed the foosball) and they got a kick out of sleeping in bunkbeds. Super nice for everyone to have their own bathroom! Thought there was an issue with the heat at one point (there wasn't, it was user error) and the host responded super quickly and was very understanding. Grateful that the trip was such a success. Would definitely stay there again....already looking at next year :)
Beautiful location with wonderful view. Basket of snacks and coffee pods was a nice surprise to have since we were not able to get out for groceries until next day due to snow and ice.
5 STARS out of 5. Peace and serenity, surrounded by wildlife. The babbling river. Flexibility to be together, or in your personal space. Fantastic location and the perfect "retreat." Next time, I would bring my own linens/pillows, and plan which pots and pans you'll need ahead of time.
We loved our stay! The house was so nice and all the furniture was very comfortable! We loved the table with the fire in the middle and the fire pit. We had a great time relaxing at the house, hiking at Mt. Jefferson, and having lunch and drinks at New River Brewing. We had a great trip! So happy this place was available for our last minute book!
We had a wonderful family vacation on the New River. We loved the porch. We made s’mores every night on the porch. The river was great to wade in. This place will always have a special place in my heart because my grandson took his first steps here!! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

Welcome to the Mountains...a blend of scenic solitude with a friendly atmosphere! From the vibrant downtown of West Jefferson, boasting emporiums, eateries, wine tastings, brewery's, boutiques, antiques, arts, farmers market and movie theatre. Kayak or fish the New River. Take a scenic drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and pick one of the hiking trails to meander such as the Mountain to Sea trail. Several waterfall trails as well. Mountain bikers will love Rocky Knob and the Virginia Creeper trails. Enjoy day trips to Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, and the ski resorts of Beech Mtn, Sugar Mtn and Appalachian Mtn. Come for a Weekend ~ Stay for a Lifetime!
Our mountain area will require an automobile to get around. Keep in mind the winter months may require 4-wheel drive due to snow.
