Two additional rooms each (2 person limit) for your extended family/friends but are separately booked by them. If family and friends book then you will be sharing the other rooms, such as the bath, living room and kitchenette, with them , not strangers. I look forward to your stay! (3rd party reservations not allowed) Stay for a night or a week, or more, in an authentic country home. Simple easy comfort. When it rains, the porch with its metal roof is the best place to sit and just be. This home was built in the 1890s. Easy Country stay for business or pleasure. Maybe your family is coming into the area for a wedding or shower and want to stay over a bit. A garage is available for bikes/skies etc. When it rains, the porch with its metal roof is the best place to sit and just be. This home was built in the 1890s. I've done my best to maintain its strong integrity, basic comforts and the added electricity has not changed that. Are there ghosts?? Well no, but the house does have a Welcoming Spirit. Golfing, antiquing, state parks among many other adventures all within 8 to 20 miles. Or if a business trip is needing an out of the way hide away as a retreat from work then come nestle in at the Wrens Nest. SPECIAL NOTE: if you want to stay here BUT you are traveling IN an RV I can accommodate parking most RVs with small additional charge. Must write me first. NOTE: By only allowing ONE room occupancy my quest will have the bathroom, kitchenette, front porch and Living room to themselves (2 other bed rooms can accommodate EXTENDED FAMILY or FRIENDS - write me and I will open listings to rooms to allow registration for that purpose-no children under 8). My bed room and office door is also on 2nd floor with your rooms, so we may pass each other in the kitchenette.
Conveniently located for the work I was doing. Good walking nearby—I used three of Bambi’s walk/hike recommendations during my stay, very successfully. The sheep are fun people. Very quiet, clean place.
This is my second visit to this beautiful farmhouse since the pandemic started. The farmhouse and grounds offered my family the opportunity to enjoy a picnic on its spacious wraparound porch which allowed a few friends to join us out of doors. The porch gave us plenty of room to spread out with its multiple seating areas and tables. The farmhouse has large cozy bedrooms, a large modern bath and a kitchenette that met all the needs of my family of 5. After some stargazing, my family relaxed and enjoyed some wine and a movie from Bambi’s large DVD collection in the comfortable living room. The surrounding area was stunning with its fall foliage and Mountain Views. Bambi will rent out the entire space for families, and the price is a bargain!! Our hostess was quick to respond to any requests including helping us with the DVD player at 8 PM on a Saturday night. I will definitely be back in the spring to enjoy this lovely farmhouse and the surrounding areas.

In a 5 mile radius site seeing is mostly pastures with cow/horses. Fields of hay and corn during spring and summer - but only glorious hillsides of fall colors in Autumn. Numerous ponds and stream. Road sides are clustered with wild flowers. A chicken crossing the road is a normal occurrence (still dont know why). Deer are a common site and use the roads also. Roads are curvy and a bit hilly. Folks tending yards or their farm like a wave from passing cars...

Mature high energy environmentalist. Love animals to include people. I bicycle as much as I can and then walk/hike when I cant bike. I go ballroom dancing just because its fun. I've lived in this big ole house for 32 years and have loved working on it slow but sure. Its my home and not perfect but very easy and comfortable - kinda like me.
