We had a pleasant stay at this large home to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our adult kids and spouses along 8 grandkids. 14 guests total so house there was plenty of room for everyone. We loved the option to eat indoors or outside on the deck Used the BBQ several times. We did run out of gas but Vacasa replaced tank within a few hours. Loved all the extra appliances (they were all used) however the wall oven electronic panel was difficult getting started at times. (I think it needs to be serviced or replaced.) The kitchen had nice amount of counter space with the island for several to be in the kitchen working. Well stocked kitchen however (NO measuring cups or measuring spoons.) The location of this house was great - quiet and very private back deck with pine trees and a grassy meadow below where we saw a herd of elk several evenings. To the left side of the deck we just needed to walk down the hill to play tennis or swim. Plenty of bikes in garage.

The only issue we had was the main table has a problem with a hinge at the far end towards the back deck. We had to prop it up. Also one of the glasses was broken at the top so we threw it away. Should get another TV, place it in the main room. We all enjoyed the house. Thank you James Pierce

The house is a great place to stay with a large group. We were there for a ski team event and we had a great time hosting big dinners and enjoying the hot tub. The house felt a little "weathered" with a taped together lamp shade, a tempermental oven, and one of the two dishwashers didn't work. But it was well stocked and had what we needed. I would stay there again.

Our stay at Black Butte Ranch was great overall! That said, a few things to note: The check in office attempted to charge me 72 dollars as an "entrance fee" upon arrival. They only realized 5 minutes later into the check in process that they shouldn't have charged me. Trash was leftover from the previous renters, which made the garage smell slightly. Neither of the dishwashers were operable during our stay (checked breaker, looked up washer manual etc). Only one of 2 of the washing machines were operable during our visit.

Great for large groups. Simple place with lots of room.
