Our stay was great. It was a beautiful home with lots of land, which made it very comfortable to let our dogs roam the property. The Brickyard Trail and beach was a short walk to see sunsets and there were great trails right off the street. If you are a road cyclist, you'll need someone to bring you to the main road. Very close to Lucy Vincent and Gayhead beaches. In our opinion, those are some of the best beaches on the island.

We absolutely loved our stay. We had 3 couples for a week with our 2 dogs and the house was gorgeously decorated with lots of character. The house is very spacious and in a beautiful and quiet part of the island. We can’t wait to come back again next year.

Such an incredible stay here! The space is perfect for a big group (both inside and outside), and so remote and peaceful. A group of friends in our mid-30s and our two pups went and had an amazing time hanging out, cooking, and going on hikes and bikes. Being able to bring our dogs was one of our top reason for picking the house. The pictures on the site are very accurate to the space, and both the caretaker and Vacasa team were very responsible and helpful with any questions or issues that came up. Besides relaxing and enjoying the woods surrounded yard, there are lots of great hiking trails to explore, fishing, and a really nice (but rocky) beach where you can watch some gorgeous sunsets, weather depending, and a nice outdoor shower. The house itself has lots of great books, board games and yard games, smart TV, and dvd's. Recommendations: bring/rent a car unless you don't plan on leaving the property during your stay (a bike would potentially work too, but the driveway itself is very long and off the beaten path terrain- all part of the woodsy charm tho); the abundant large windows make for very bright mornings so if you are a light sleeper, bring a sleep eye mask; and watch out for tall grass and poison ivy and ticks! State Road is a delicious nearby restaurant if you can get a reservation there. This place and this visit will forever hold a special place in our hearts because my boyfriend and I got engaged down by the brickyard beach at sunset, surrounded by close family and friends! Can't wait to come back next year.
