Scartlea Cottage is situated in a quiet and peaceful location in the heart of Muckross. It is just a short distance (5km) from the town centre, National Park and Muckross House & Torc Waterfall . The location is perfect for walking, cycling and trekking. Facilities immediately nearby include shops, hotels & bike hire. The cottage is located on the same site as the owners house and has its own separate entrance and space dedicated to it making it a very private location to stay. Scartlea Cottage has been newly renovated to a comfortable and cosy residence. It has a secure automatic gated entrance with private parking for 3 cars. On the ground floor there is a spacious fully equipped dining/kitchen area, a double bedroom (with king size bed) a single bedroom and a separate bathroom. Upstairs is a mezzanine area containing a double and single bed and en suite bathroom. Both bathrooms in the cottage have a shower, sink, toilet, towels and toiletries. The cottage has all the modern conveniences required and is pleasantly furnished and decorated. Outside the main door is a covered patio area where the early morning sun falls and guests can eat breakfast or simply relax and recharge. At the side of the cottage is a sheltered area with lighting, a charcoal barbecue and seating for six people. This area can also be used as a bike shelter or a store and also has a clothes line for guest use.
