Our stay at The Den was idyllic! We feel extremely lucky to have managed to stay at The Den as we booked it last minute for a getaway to explore the North Yorkshire Coast and North York Moors. Being last minute, Lesley & Andrew's local recommendations were key in making our stay full of adventure, great meals, lovely walks and secret spots; they made it so easy for us to have a great time! We were warmly welcomed and felt at home straight away. Such lovely and friendly people we are lucky to have as our hosts. As for the Den itself - it's gorgeous. Every detail is thought about from the layout, decoration, garden, parking, breakfast and home comforts. There was plenty of space for our bags and outdoor clothing as well as space for relaxing in front of the cutest log burner. Walking 20mins from The Den into Thornton Le Dale along a beautiful stream is a highlight of its location. As is the incredible starry night sky on the walk back after drinks at the cosy, warm local pub.

The property is very cosy and well-stocked and just a short driving distance from some great nature. Andrew and Lesley were friendly and informative hosts and on hand as the cabin is situated in their big beautiful garden. We did find the cleaning fee excessive especially as we had to bring our own towels. That being said we had a lovely peaceful break.

Most idyllic place to stay. Our hosts were very proactive and all the welcome gifts were most appreciated. A plus was the super comfy bed and the amazing shower. Great walks and many things to do in the surrounding area.

We had a fantastic stay at The Den. Andrew & Lesley are excellent hosts, recommending so many great lunch spots, restaurants, walks and more. The location is beautiful and really peaceful. The Den itself is so nicely done out, kitchen had everything we needed, comfy bed and a cracking shower. Some lovely extra touches from Andrew and Lesley, providing some breakfast items when we arrived. Would highly recommend.
