The Jurgens Cabin on all-sports Spider Lake is a very unique 2 bedroom cabin on a very unique piece of land. There are other homes nearby and they are all surrounded by a lake and state forest lands; how fun and beautiful, peaceful and healthy! The Jurgens Cabin is one within a set of two identical cabins. I call the other cabin the Waller Cabin and both cabins were built in the '60s by the Jurgens and Waller families. These cabins were engineer built with quality products, love and affection! Once settled in it's time to take in the change from the norm to Spider Lake and the hilly and green Pere Marquette State Forest! Each of the two cabins has a separate deck with furniture. There is a shared gas and charcoal grill, fire pit, dock, swim area and some boats: row, peddle, 2 kayaks and a canoe; for liability reasons, do not use any boats until we have met. There are two pontoons boats and a 14' motorboat for rent and moored at the dock. If you want to bring your own boat let me know so we can work out the details. There are 5 islands on the lake and public Island #3 is visible from the dock; it is a destination for those that want to visit and explore the island as it is public. It is very sandy and shallow around the island, great for swimming, and people congregate there so.... There is a very nice boat launch on Spider Lake. Traverse City is about a twenty minute drive and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park is about fifty minutes to the Dune Headquarters in Empire. It is an easy drive to Traverse City and to get around town you can walk, bicycle or use the Traverse Area Recreation Trail known as TART.
Shawn’s place is located in Traverse City, Michigan, United States.
The Jurgens & Waller Cabins are on Lakeview Trail, a private blacktop road about a quarter mile long with a cul-de-sac at the end. This is a very nice walking street with some interesting architecture and views of the lake. FYI there is steep hill. The other streets leading up to Lakeview Trail have more traffic and blind curves as you will see so walking them is not recommended but a lot of people do.

自我介绍
Hi: I grew up near Detroit and made a temporary move to the Spider Lake/Traverse City area to take some classes at Northwestern Michigan College in the winter of 1991. Upon waking, my second morning in February, I was lying in bed on the second floor looking out the window half asleep. All was white with large snowflakes gently falling when a black squirrel was spotted down and about thirty feet away slowly bounding across a split rail fence. The fence had about six inches of fresh snow and each time the squirrel would jump it would knock some snow off the fence to the ground. The morning was still except for this black squirrel on a pure white landscape. It was like a living painting. I watched this for about thirty seconds and realized at this moment that this is where I belonged. And, here I am today sharing my good fortune with others looking for that special getaway.
