Melissa was a very good host and was very accommodating to my family. The overall experience was very rustic and my kids loved playing with the goats and exploring the property. Melissa was kind enough to let my small kids help with some of the feeding times and milking and they felt included in all the fun. If we were to stay again I would bring more layers of clothing because the days were hot and the nights were cold (beginning of April), and maybe some more blankets. Melissa responded right away to my request for more blankets, but the night still proved to be more chilly than the first (next time we will plan ahead for this). Thank you Melissa for such a unique experience!

Lets start with arivial time after booking you are going to be told check in is between 2-7 me and my wife live in south carolina we booked two nights at what seemed to be a nice goat farm and couples retreat we then realized we wouldn’t make arrival time that day and asked to have it switched to the next two days and then Melissa said she would do that then charged us for the night we did not even come and stay. upon arrival at 2:05 and texting them letting them know our eta and everything they asked for there was no one to greet us or guide us and we spent 30 minutes outside these 4 gates wondering where to go and then we ordered biscuits the final day was charged on air bnb for them and they werent in the common area so this place sucked but the goats are cute also the host spoke to us once briefly and all the other guest a good bit and the others were familys so we kinda felt discriminated against and we didnt get the full experience it was a ultimate let down

This is a real relax spot just make sure you have all your essentials and food items. The only problem with me was the distance of the bathroom. I usually drink a lot of water and have to use it several times through the night. I wish it was a restroom area across from where the tents were. So I had to cut my trip short and I was only there three to four hours but other than my bladder I would come back.

This was my 2nd stay at Goat House Farm, and I hope to visit much more often. Melissa and the crew are so attentive to their guests, even while managing a working farm in what's probably their busiest season--while the kids are being born. My tent developed a small tear, which they patched promptly, and Melissa actually offered me a refund, even though I hadn't been inconvenienced at all. They keep everything clean, organized, and above all welcoming. And they're always looking for ways to improve things--for instance, all those motion-activated lights that have been added along the path through the pasture since last year: great idea! The biscuits and jams are absolutely delicious, and I have no idea how they find the time to make them--miraculous! Combine all that with a gorgeous lake, bright stars, the world's friendliest goats, and one of the cuddliest cats I've ever met, and it's just about heaven.

I loved this placed, it’s great if you’re looking to be around animals and reconnect with nature. The spot is close to some beautiful parks and a lake. Melissa was very welcoming and the tent was clean. It’s a beautiful farm house and the goats are super friendly and you can tell the volunteers and Melissa take good care of the goats and animals.
