We had an excellent stay at this wonderful home. Minutes from Salida, and while close to other homes, feels very private. Large windows surround the house giving great views of the mountains and the river, which is right at the bottom of the stairs. Very nice deck along the back of the house also gives great views and sounds of the river. The kitchen is very well stocked, and there are several games which we enjoyed playing. We would certainly stay here again and highly recommend the home.

I booked this AirBnB for a fishing trip with a couple friend and this placed checked all the boxes. It was not too far away from Salida but definitely private and peaceful. The AirBnB had direct access to the Arkansas river and there were lots of trout to catch along the west bank where the house was located. It was a very rainy and snow weekend so when we were not out fishing we hung out in the house which was very cozy and comfortable.

Lots to like here, the house speaks for itself w access to the Arkansas river and a fantastic kitchen that is well stocked with anything you might need. Really enjoyed morning coffee son the deck looking upstream. What separates this place is quick communication from the hosts and the fact we were able to delay our trip a day without any issues. Hope to be back next year!

River Retreat was a perfect family getaway. Gorgeous views, stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. We loved every minute. I could live there!

Very nice, and well kept. Great gathering places on the main floor and outside on the deck. River access was awesome, and neighbors were friendly.
