What an amazing way to visit this island. Peter was an amazing host. He goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. To his recommendations, connections, cooking skills, music skills and location this place offers you a beautiful quite place to enjoy Barbados. You can also enjoy all the wild life, gekos, birds, and monkey's. We loved our stay with Peter and his lovely puppies.

Beautiful place and lovely host who really goes out of his way to make you feel looked after. Accommodation is basic but perfectly designed for the natural environment. The best thing for us was the sense of community, not overbearing but in way you never feel isolated. Will be back.

More than just an Airbnb. Words don’t really do it justice. Peter has created a fabulous experience in his own corner of rural Barbados. Chroma Cottage is like living in the jungle surrounded by nature; monkeys, lizards, birds, fireflies and more. Going to sleep and waking up immersed by the sounds is simply amazing. Peter made us feel at home instantly and as if we were long lost friends. Returning to Oughterson Plantation after a day at the beach always felt special and will be missed. Until the next time. Peters hospitality is just amazing, as is his place. He arranged airport pickup free off charge, greeting me with a meal, brought over pancakes the next morning, he made me feel right at home. I had some special requests, like extra pillows , and he went above and beyond to accommodate them. He also manages to create a real community between the guests staying at his place by arranging a pizza night, and a movie night where he projects a movie against the wall of one house whilst guests can sit in the back of a truck, and have popcorn... I stayed at Chroma and had the pool right in front of my doorstep which was great! The cottage was still totally private, overgrown with vegetation, a nice breeze going through, you really felt like living in nature without missing any modern conveniences. For me as a single traveler this was ideal, as I had my own space but also met the other guests. I had a hire car which I highly recommend to explore the island. I will definitely be back!

peter is a lovely host, that offers help whenever he can. He gave us several recommendations for things to do, and places to visit. He also organised events for the people staying at the plantation, to have some community interation between the guests. The cottage itself was clean and is what you'd expect from the puctures. As a welcoming gesture, Peter prepared our first dinner and the following breakfast for us, so we could arrive and not need to worry about those thjngs from the get go, which we loved. (His cooking skills are fantastic!) If you decide to also book the Chroma Cottage, do make sure you have some insect repellent with you, as there will be lots of mosquitoes. The bed is protected with a net, for which I recommend you to tuck in the corners, so it doesn't stick to you. Overall, this was an amazing trip, and Peters hospitality was a big part of it. I do recommend this place to anyone, wheter you're going solo or with your family. :)
