High Noon in St Ives was a home from home, well equipped, lots of children's toys, games and books, plenty of space and a well equipped kitchen. The highlight, stunning views from the terrace, lounge and 2 x double en suite bedrooms at the front of the property.

We really enjoyed staying in St Ives, the town is lovely and the house boasts beautiful views of the harbour. The house is decorated nicely and appears better in person than in the photographs. The beds are extremely comfortable and the sofas were also comfy to sit on. There was tea and coffee left as well as some Cornish biscuits which was a nice touch and the guides and manuals were very informative. One thing we would say is go careful with the heated towel rails as they are very hot and we did catch ourselves on it a couple of times. Bring a board game, a bottle opener and some spare loo roll and kitchen towel and you'll be sorted! We recommend Pel's in the harbour for breakfast and lunch (they have a huge gluten free menu) and the firehouse bar and grill or beer and bird for dinner! Really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the COVID safe check in.

We had a great time here. The house was sparkling clean and the kitchen was fully equipped beyond our expectations. The showers and beds were hotel grade. And the welcome package was so generous. We even found freshly baked scones waiting for us that lasted a couple of days. Most of the house feels like it has been recently renovated. Our favorite bit about this house is the view, you could stare at it forever. You can see the tip of porthmeor beach on the left and the tip of porthminister beach to the right. That being said, due to the location of the house on an elevated land, you will have to take about 40 steps down and up forth and back every time you go to the beach or the shops. So it might not be the best location for elderly. We’re considering taking my father next time but this might be too much for him. A few things we didn’t quite like, one is the terrace set. it is heavy metal and very old fashioned and weatherbeaten. we really wished to spend time on the terrace and soak in the beautiful view this house has but we couldn’t. Another thing is the living room rug it’s quite rough and thin, if you have toddlers or crawling babies this might not be the best area to do floor time. Also the dimness of the ground floor, it wasn’t suitable for family activities at night so we had to go to the top floor for board games night. The whole living and dining felt too vintage style for our personal taste but the rest of the house felt more modern. We will definitely try more of Escape to St Ives soon.
