The Barn at Benty Grange is a beautifully renovated barn providing superb self-catering holiday cottage accommodation in undeniable scenic surroundings. With seven en suite bedrooms all designed in a classic country style with a French/Vintage twist. Open countryside surrounds you and the rural location gives you the peace and quiet you may enjoy for your time away. The village of Monyash is only a short drive away where there is a village pub and great cafe. The market towns of Bakewell and Buxton are only a 10 minute drive from the property. You enter the property into the stone floored hallway, immediately to your left is Bedroom 4 the ground floor bedroom, the bed can be made into twins or a double with a set of bunk beds. There is also an en suite shower room. To the end of the hallway is a handy downstairs W/C and a set of stairs that take you to bedrooms 5,6 and 7. To the right of the main entrance leads to the lounge, a cosy room with underfloor heating, leather sofas and a central log burner, making it an ideal room to enjoy after a day exploring the Peaks. We do supply a complimentary basket of logs to get you started. This room then takes you into the main social hub of the house, the open plan kitchen diner and small lounge. To one end of this room is a seating area with a TV and corner sofa and French doors leading to the outside. The kitchen dominates the centre of the room, with a central island ideal for everyone to help prepare the meals, or to just sit and chat as there are a few stools tucked underneath. The kitchen is well equipped, with large range style cooker, built in microwave, dishwasher and plenty of utensils and cooking equipment. To the end of the room is the dining table, a large wooden table that can comfortably seat 18-20, using a mixture of chairs and benches. There are also another set of French doors leading to the outside. A second staircase then leads you to bedrooms 1,2 and 3 you cannot access the other bedrooms from this staircase. The landing is light and airy and the 3 bedrooms all lead off from this. Bedroom 1 can be a twin or double with en suite shower room. Bedroom 2 can be made into twin beds or a double, with an en suite that features a bath with shower over. Bedroom 3 can also be a twin or double with an additional set of bunk beds. There is an en suite with bath and shower over. The stairs from the entrance hallway gives you access to 3 further bedrooms. Bedroom 5 is to the left at the top of the stairs, a light and bright room with a double bed that can also be a twin plus a set of bunk beds, there is an en suite with shower over a bath. Across the hallway is Bedroom 6 the bed can be a double or twin with en suite shower room. Tucked in the corner is Bedroom 7 again this room can be a twin or double and has an en suite shower room. To the rear of the property you have a fabulous barn conversion that is now a games room, a large space with pool table, darts board, small bar area, large connect 4 and hookey game. There is also wall mounted heaters to keep the space warm over those cooler months. You are on a shared site with another self catering property but each have their own designated areas. In front of the games room is the seating areas with 4 large, round picnic benches seating 20. There is a fenced lawn area - perfect for ball games. There is also a sheep field to the side that guests can use from time to time - but this is only when there is no livestock is in the field. Dogs must never be left unattended if sheep are in the field too. To the front and side of the property there is plenty of parking space. You do share the main entrance from the road with the other self catering property and we do ask guests to make sure you park in front of the correct property you are staying in. There is a BBQ for your use whilst at the property and we do ask that you supply your own charcoal and lighting equipment as this is not provided.
