Utterly charming cottage. Perfectly equipped and wonderfully peaceful. We will be back again for sure and would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a real getaway.

Het was een heerlijk verblijf in een leuk, knus huisje. Het uitzicht en de omgeving is fantastisch. We werden positief en goed ontvangen door Ian en Alison bracht ons heel snel wat extra verse eitjes van de kippen toen we daarom vroegen. We hebben ervan genoten!

This was our second visit to Knockie Cottage and we absolutely loved it again. The estate is just breathtakingly beautiful and so peaceful to walk around. We loved using the boats and fire pit down by the loch and watching the incredible wildlife on the estate. Our children loved playing on the lawn outside the property and seemed to never run out of games to play. During this visit, we explored more of the local area and found plenty to do whatever the weather. The cottage itself is so warm, cosy and comfortable and has everything you might need. We instantly felt completely at home. Alison, Ian, Paulina and Urban were all so friendly and welcoming and Alison and Ian were always on call if we needed anything. They are endlessly kind, approachable and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

This is a gem, tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Very helpful and friendly. Peace and quiet away from the crowds with superb walks in the Loch Ness area. A great pub in the nearest village and good restaurants in the area.

We wanted a quiet place in the Highlands where we could celebrate Christmas and this was perfect. Per the recommendations in the listings, we brought the groceries with us and prepared the best Christmas dinner! The kitchen is well laid out and had every utensil that we needed. We just happened to have 3” of snow that fell as we cooked. Best Christmas ever! The location is so pretty. It is on Loch Knockie and is just a few miles from Loch Ness. I bet is is wonderful in summer, too. BE SURE to use the link in the listing to locate the lodge. I did not and got a little lost! The lodge is very up-to-date and everything works great. It is comfortable and cosy. The host had even donated some eggs from the hens that brood on the property. Alison was very responsive to every question. Just 5 minutes down the road is White Bridge Hotel with one of the best pubs that I have enjoyed. The folks were friendly, the beer excellent and the food was delightful. Knockie Lodge was a delight.
