Loved the concept: peaceful and well equipped. Biggest downside was the bugs! We got absolutely chowed so bring repellant! Biggest plus was Mel's recommendations on the best curry ever in the next town over. This place is located on a long, winding road (not ideal if you get car sick) about 30/45 minutes drive to any attractions/activities so can work as a base for day trips in the area but you're in for a cold shower if you come back past 6pm (we didn't mind). This spot is ideal if you want to relax away from all distractions (there is no signal) and can be entertained by books, games and your partner. Note that there's no fridge. There are 2 cool boxes which work well enough and Mel stocks them every morning with ice bricks (but this also means you are disturbed every morning). We were so grateful that Mel arranged a small grill for us- we love to BBQ! I can't fault much about this place. It wasn't our thing but I see why it has great reviews.

Great place if you're looking to disconnect from the world. Melody and her partner were great hosts, and their four dogs are wonderful and playful. Really nice experience, do recommend.

La zona es preciosa, muy verde y creo que en las fotos no se transmite toda la belleza. Es muy tranquilo, siya has estado en Algarve y lo que buscas es estar en la naturaleza, y no coger mucho en coche - creo q es idílico. Melody, es muy amable y atenta. Puntos Negativos: -puedes ducharte sólo de 10 a 17h y si sois más de 2 personas, el 3 ro se duchara con agua fría. -Hay sólo un enchufe para cargar el móvil. Y por la moche no hay corriente. -Hace frió por la noche.

Such a nice experience in this caravan! It was clean and we enjoyed our stay there. The environment is breathtaking (mountains, sky full of stars, sun) and really calm. The house is located far in the mountains, off-grid but the deconnection is part of the experience and that feels good!
