This met expectations for location and amenities (private, quiet, secluded). We did expect better amenities in terms of plumbing though. The shower backed up, there were a lot of notes about being sensitive with the toilet, and the kitchen sink plumbing didn’t drain at all. We discovered a bucket under the kitchen sink pipe only after it overflowed. A note or heads up on the shower and sink would have been nice. Overall the place was comfortable and a good location, but I could have lived without the plumbing issues.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! It had everything we needed and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. There is a general store right nearby which is so convenient for getting supplies. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Our second time staying at the Birch, and as great as the first time. Cabin is stocked with everything you need. Great place to turn off the electronics and enjoy the peace and serenity of the Hiawatha National Forest. Convenient walking distance to general store to stock up on food and supplies. What more do you need? Great hosts, friendly, communicative and responsive.
