Kim and her husband Rainer were instantly our 'old friends.' Their knowledge of the area and its history are encyclopedic, which is perfect for us as future residents. The apartment and the setting were ideal.
I cannot begin to say enough things about our stay at Kim and Rainer’s oasis. Kim provided very thorough instructions and Rainer greeted us upon arrival. We brought our boat and stored it at the dock directly behind the home for the weekend. Access was easy and Rainer served as both a host and a guide. The apartment was BEAUTIFUL and had absolutely everything we could need. Kim placed an AMAZING coffee cake out for us and it was easily gone by the end of the weekend! The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in at any location other than our home (to the point that we later purchased the pillows and pillow topper online after Kim told us what they were 😂). The lake was beautiful and there was a restaurant off of the water that we enjoyed for dinner both nights. Kim and Rainer were phenomenal hosts, provided a multitude of recommendations, and made us feel right at home. Before the weekend was over had already planned our next trip! Thank you both so much!See you again soon!
Kim and Rainer were the most communicative hosts we’ve ever experienced. The Airbnb apartment is as shown in the photos - beautiful and comfortable! The view outside is stunning. We had Kim’s best ever Mac and cheese and it was delicious. Unfortunately, we were hit by the hurricane and lost power. But Kim and Rainer made sure we were comfortable, warm and kept us in loop all the time. We will definitely be going back to enjoy Kim’s delicious food!
FABULOUS apartment with breathtaking views of Lake Badin. What a relaxing weekend!
Location has an amazing view. Safe neighborhood. Boat dock is perfect to leave boat your whole stay with plug. Kim was under the weather but Ranier her husband helped us in the rain to get our boat in water and trailer stored. Great kitchen and bathroom. Big TV with sound bar. Awesome deck to have coffee on or drinks at end of day. What's not to love. Great fishing as well.

My husband and I have loved living at Badin Lake for almost 20 years. We feel we have created a Shangri-La like paradise with our home and surroundings. We are excited to share it with others with our brand new (finished 2020) lake front apartment! I am a gourmet cook that does local catering and my husband is a retired German chemist. We hope we can share our little piece of Heaven with you!
