We communicated when we were arriving, planes arrive near midnight. The place was closed down and we couldn’t get in. A phone number to call, but we didn’t have Palauan phone to use. We ended up stranded and fortunately found a hotel several blocks away that gave us a spare room. Never heard back from Vincent. Had to use Airbnb customer service for a refund and coverage for the price difference. Would have been better to have booked an accessible/appropriate place the month prior to arriving.

The U World lodge was a good stop for me after coming ashore from a week in a boat. I really just needed a place to keep cool, and reorganize after diving and it was clean and tidy. I was even able to schedule an airport run for the 2am flight to Guam.

I think the only complaint I can really think of would be yes we had a tv in the room but it had no service to it so any down time spent in the room was self entertainment with each other or electronic device. I personally didn't have an issue with it! The staff was very polite and courteous, especially Ms Joy. With us having a American southern accent I think they had problems understanding us (especially the wife). We had a mild musky smell in the room but with the hotel being right on the water and a country with 80 percent humidity what can you really do. Our shower appeared to have some mold and mildew build up on the bottom corners. I don't think it was an issue in all the rooms, but anytime we needed cleaning all we had to do is ask it it would be done!! I think the high light of this hotel is the back door patio with the view of the ocean while having coffee and breakfast. Having a boat dock right there where the local Palauans kept the fish fed (and us too!!) was like having your own personal aquarium so if you love fish.
