Beautiful house and very pleasant stay
This house was great for a family break away. It’s close to the village and the local pubs are great for food. The house was cleaned well on arrival and everything was as described. Whilst the hot tub water was warm and water was clean there was grit etc. at the bottom and on the seats so it would be worth having it deep cleaned at some point. When using the hot tub make sure you keep the doors to the house closed or you may end up with a load of insect bites overnight - not the houses fault - just be wary if you’ve got tasty blood! Stef’s communication before and during the stay was excellent. We had an issue with the hearing and hot water but as soon as I let Stef know they called and told us how to fix it. Whilst we were there we did have a minor accident with smashing a lightbulb over the pool table but we let Stef know and they were fine about it. A quick scout on Amazon and we found a replacement bulb and got it delivered to replace it.
Had a very enjoyable stay at this property. The modern touches along with the games room and hot tub were a big hit with the younger family members. The property is conveniently located, with short walk access to the river and pubs/restaurants.
The property is spacious with plenty of amenities including and smart TVs in all of the rooms. The house was very cold and there was no hot water for showers. I contacted Stef & Nikki and a lovely lady called Fiona called me back. I spent 45 mins on calls. Fiona was very helpful and we appreciate this couldn’t be helped but not the best start to our break. More disappointingly the day before we were due to leave, we asked for a late checkout and the cost. The hosts confirmed we could checkout at 1pm, however 7 mins later they messaged to say they could no longer accommodate a late checkout as they now had a booking but we could stay until 11am. This was very disappointing and made worse by the cleaners arriving at 10.30 making us feel under pressure to vacate the property. Needless to say sadly we will not be returning to this property or rebooking with these hosts in the future.
