Joan’s place was very comfortable for our group of six adults. We were very close to the casino and the yard and deck are beautiful! Although advertised as “all to yourself” there is another unit upstairs with people you can hear moving around and talking which is the only reason I knocked off a star. The unit is slightly dated, but you’ll find everything you need for a great stay.

Joan was communicative and got back to us relatively quickly during the stay. The check out procedures were easy. However, we wish we had known that this is NOT the entire house as was described. We discovered it at 10:30 pm when a light was on in the attic and a stranger came around the back of the house to get food. We were really scared at first until we were able to clarify. It seems dangerous to set up two groups to be unaware of the other, as it could have escalated quickly to be surprised at night. There's no soundproofing between the upper and lower floors and we heard every step they took and the movie the kids watched. It sounded like they were in the room with us. I'm guessing they could hear us as well. Second, there were some cleanliness issues. There appeared to be black mold in the wood of the towel rack and on one of the shower curtains, as well as splatters of unknown substances on the walls in rooms, bathroom and kitchen. We would not have stayed here had we known.
