We try and float the river and go to Gruene at least once a year. This little hide away is about 25 min from all the action so tucked away in beautiful country, private, very clean and friendly owners. We will be returning, the hummingbirds and deer were amazing to sit and watch. Thank you for an amazing weekend getaway location :)

Wonderful place with all you need! We had a great time sitting on the deck, cooking dinner, and playing in the river. Brigitte and Shawn were wonderful hosts that made sure we had a great time. We really enjoyed sitting in the river and showing our daughter l what the hill country is all about. We will be back!

Brigitte and Shawn were the most gracious and fabulous hosts! They made us feel like family! The cabin is absolutely perfect. The decor is like a magazine with perfect little touches, unique artwork, nice linens, and fun accessories that make the cabin feel like the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Brigitte was extremely helpful and very responsive. The cabin and the property are serene with hiking and the perfect spot on the gorgeous Blanco River. I highly recommend The Hive!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin in Fischer! Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate but it was so lovely sitting on the front porch listening to the rain on the roof with a beautiful view of their property. The hummingbirds were a lovely surprise! We got to hang out with Shawn and watch the Astros in his amazingly renovated bar right on the property. We spent one afternoon hiking up and down the Blanco river which was really cool. Would absolutely recommend the cabin to anybody looking to spend time in the area and be on the water! Brigitte and Shawn were amazing hosts, provided clear instructions and recommended fun things to do in Wimberly.
