The pretty town of Ruthin is well worth a visit, with its streets of individual shops and cafés which seem to tumble down the hill from St Peter’s Square. The Llangollen Railway is also well worth a visit – take a nostalgic trip on a steam hauled train along the Dee Valley to the little town of Corwen. If it’s beaches you’re after, then you’ll find some lovely sandy ones along the North Wales coast, whilst the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno, and the beautiful National Trust garden at Bodnant are easily accessible, as is picturesque Betws-y-Coed, the Gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, and also home to Zip World Fforest, an adrenaline junkie’s delight!
