This was a very cozy, clean and comfortable place. It had everything we needed. The covered deck was a great space to relax and enjoy nature. The cabin feels very secluded with all the surrounding trees and we enjoyed the privacy. We were able to get on the lake with the kayaks pretty easily, but do suggest water shoes while launching. Lake Malone was a beautiful place to explore with the kayaks. This cabin is a gem! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

I was a little surprised that there wasn't a dock for the boats, but hey, you don't go out on the water unless you're prepared to get wet, so that was no real obstacle. It as a wonderful time and I would definitely go back.

The house was even nicer than we expected! Everything that we needed was already in the house, and the living room was super comfortable. The sheets on the main bed were also really nice. Additionally, Alicia responded immediately to my questions. Highly recommended!

We had such an amazing time at The Jolly Otter. We love traveling with our pups. They loved playing fetch in the large yard. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. There were neighbors, but it felt secluded. The scenery was amazing. The weather was beautiful in March. The temperatures were high 60's during the day. We loved sitting on the enclosed deck with our pups. Even with a little chilly, March weather, my daughter took a kayak out and enjoyed the scenery on Lake Malone. We saw two eagles in the trees on the property, and hear frogs at night. We also heard a barred owl at dusk, which was so cool. We found a skink in the back yard, which was really neat. We hiked in the State Park, ate at Shady Cliffs Marina, and ventured out to see the Lost River Cave, which was really awesome. We loved the area. Everyone was friendly everywhere we went. The house was comfortable and super-clean. We loved the view from the living room. Everything was amazing. We will definitely return!
