I have never written a negative review on Airbnb, but here goes. This place is a noisy and dirty dump, in a super busy alley where a commercial carwash, several market stalls, and traffic come and go constantly from 6am until well into the middle of the night. The room is located right above the street and has zero insulation from the noise, so you are hearing loud noise all day and all night. This might be acceptable for one or two nights, but not for a long stay. And before you think I am a Vietnam rookie, know I have been all over the country in the past year, and this place takes the cake for noise. The alley is also sketchy at night, with drunk tough guys pissing in the alley and giving weird vibes. Also, neighbors were very rude, they would all sit in a group of chairs from early morning screaming and carrying on and would block the way out of the room, almost as if they were doing this in order to send a message to the landlord that they do not like having this place rented as an airbnb (which I can understand). I asked for a 50% refund to moveout about 10 days into the stay, and the landlord said he would get back to me. Finally, just a few days before I was ready to checkout, he finally had his airbnb sherpa text me with his refund proposal, which was a moot point a mere days before the end of the stay. Lastly, the neighbors made a fit over parking a bicycle in the alley. Mind you, the alley was full of motorbikes, shops, and other stuff, but for some reason my bike was a huge issue for them. They wanted me to park it a block away and pay them money to store the bicycle. I get that the place said "no parking" but never in six years of airbnb has anyplace every had a fit over a bicycle. The price is way too high for what this place really is (I paid about 12 million VND). That was my fault for believing that prices had been adjusted from pre-covid times. For other guests in the future, 12 million VND should get you cleaning every few days and a place that is properly insulated against street noise and solid nights rest. The owner was insincere, and I am surprised that I am the first one to write a negative review of this dank alleyway. Shower is also a joke, ditto the noisy plumbing system. So glad to be out of there.

We loved the location. It allowed us to walk to the various sites, as well as the train station. The location for taking the No. 86 bus from the airport and back was excellent - one piece of advice: get off at the Melia Hotel instead of the railway station for a shorter walk. The only complaint we have is the bed was too hard for our liking.
