Unit was clean and the bed and linens were very comfortable. While the kitchen is more of a kitchenette, it did provide all the necessities. The covered lanai is where the kitchen, shower and toilet are located. The location had a small view of the ocean, however all the neighbors had dogs that did have a lot to say a few nights. I enjoyed the friendly kitty, though some may not like that he does jump on the kitchen counters. As a single person traveling alone, I did feel very safe and would stay agin.

I absolutely loved this place. The location was not too far from where my class was held, easy to find and the host Evie was so sweet and welcoming. Her airbnb remind me so much of the plantation style home I was raised in that it truly felt like home to me. This place definitely has its charm and I hope everyone will be able to treasure it as I did. I will definitely be back! Mahalo Evie!

Evie was a fantastic host & very responsive during our first stay on the Big Island! The property is very cozy & peaceful, away from busy traffic but close to so many amenities. The suite also has an amazing sunset & sunrise view! We absolutely adored Evie’s cat, Captain Jack, who roams the property. He was so friendly & made us feel right at home as we left our own kitty home during our trip. 10/10 experience! We loved our stay & will certainly be back!

Two of us stayed at this lovely place in the beginning of July and it was fantastic! Super clean and neat space, very spacious for 2 people. It was fun to interact with the owner’s cat, the cat would usually come around every time we start cooking))) We did not want to leave to do the island activities, since it was very cozy. It has all the items we needed, many kitchen appliances (coffee makers, blender, 2 electric stoves etc). The bed is comfortable too. It was so convenient to have a washer and a dryer. Please go explore the nearby trail, it’s called Captain Cook Trail, its around 10 min walk from cottage to the trail (it’s a difficult one). We really enjoyed staying at this cottage. Thank you hosts for providing us a memorable stay.

I didnt read the details thoroughly and didnt realize it meant a private section of the home owners' home. Definitely wanted something more private especially because we have a loud toddler. Check in was hard because it was dark and google maps ended up taking me up the front driveway of the house which was gravel and our rental car almost didnt make it. The next day we noticed the paved driveway on the backside of the home so that was nice. Called the available number 4 times and no answer. Even emailed them a week in advance and no answer The houses/neighbors were so close together. Homeowners walking in front of our "private" section in the mornings (he did offer to take our trash the first morning but still felt we didnt get our privacy). I also noticed new trash bags in the area so it made me wonder if the homeowner is allowed to come into our space during our rental time. Cat ripped up our trash making more of a mess for me to clean when checking out. Accused of having more guests when we arrived during the dark. Instead of talking to us, the homeowner reported us instantly for having more guests when we did not. Pros: It was clean, had hot water, smart tv, spacey for a small family, they had toothbrushes because we forgot ours, and they had organic or natural soaps which was cool. Definitely not our style of staycation and wont choose this place again. But maybe someone else would enjoy it. I just dont think its ideal for a family with a little toddler. Safe spot just dont want the neighbors to be bothered on how much fun he was having
