Step off the beaten path and get ready for the experience of a lifetime! Glamping on the headwaters of the Kings River is an exclusive, one of a kind experience, where stunning nature meets modern convenience. Less than a minute from the Kings River Falls Trailhead, and nestled alongside the headwaters of the Kings River in Venus, Arkansas. This is a 7 acre remote and rugged campground with caves, bluffs, swimming holes and river a plenty, completely surrounded by Arkansas Natural Area. Our glamping sites feature either a bell tent or very large dome tent that is completely decked out with a queen sized air bed, rug, battery operated fan, lights, games, and optional bunkbed cots for the kiddos or extra adults. Our glamping site has a picnic table, and fire ring. There is no electric and no running potable water. We do supply you with 5 gallons of water at your site. We have porta potties on site that are cleaned weekly. There is a public swimming hole and a private swimming hole. Lots of trails, sights, and caves.
Michele went way over and beyond to make sure we had everything we could possibly need. She thought of everything and it was so beautifully set up for us.
Michelle was a great host and super helpful with details and maps to the area, even let us stay last minute for one night. The area is so beautiful and peaceful, and can hear the water nearby. This is advertised as a glamping spot witch it is not, although she supplied you with nearly everything your needed for camping. If you have never camped before this is considered a primitive not “glamping”. The door was Velcro shut which we were warned about but the base of the tent was also velcro so it was not sealed and was open for anything to crawl into the tent with us, and was not secure for dogs. Also, a random dog wondered into our camp several times and since we had dogs with us, it made it to be a stressful stay. The toilets were so gross and so full they were unusable. Due to the poor advertising, gross toilets and random dog, we ended up going home for the night. Will try again another time since we know what to expect and the area was so peaceful.
Absolutely beautiful area! Michelle is very kind and provides clear instructions on getting to the site. The site isn’t difficult to access as long as you follow the written instructions. My sedan was able to cross the creek to unload our gear. The only hang up was that the mesh bug guard on the tent was left open during set up, so lots of bugs crawled in before we arrived to escape the rain. The rug was also wet from the rain and smelled a bit. We tried to close the bug guard but it was broken, so we had many stowaways sleeping with us.
Beautiful and private camping on acres of private land out in the Ozarks. The area has several clear creeks, swimming holes, trails, caves, and even a waterfall nearby. The area is very remote, no cell service, no electricity, no paved roads for several miles. To be able to drive up to the campsite requires crossing a creek, so a high clearance vehicle with all wheel drive is necessary, otherwise you would have to carry your stuff across the creek on foot like we had to. Gas and food are about 30-40 minutes away. Host and family are very nice and accommodating.
No off road vehicles allowed. If you need to get cell service when you are here, you can drive to a spot that is nearby. If you park in front of the red gate with Private Drive 3510 sign, it takes a minute or two to get service but it will work. It is almost exactly a mile from the Kings River Falls Trailhead. We will you a map to show you where this is located.
