Good pickup arrangements to and from the ferry. Very responsive hosts. Beautiful location. Right on the beach. Got to be one of the best morning views to wake up to...sitting in bed looking out over to Skye. Spotlessly clean accommodation with additional covid measures in place. Cosy with a good gas burner. Very comfortable bed. Nice little kitchen with all the basics for simple cooking. Had some of their eggs and produce. Really good quality. Would definitely stay here again.

Samadalan is an incredible escape and a great remote experience. Florence and Izidor are fantastic hosts and had plenty of tips for us to get the most out of our stay. Come prepared to explore off-piste and you'll see everything from eagles to seals to porpoise. We had the most amazing time here and would highly recommend a trip to experience the beautiful scenery and the off-grid lifestyle.

AMAZING ESCAPE! We stayed on Knoydart for 4 nights and we loved every second. The house is very secluded and only accessible by ferry from Mallaig or a long hike around. We got the ferry and a lift from Izidor - which was ideal and the chat in the car was entertaining/useful for our trip. As hosts they are perfectly welcoming and friendly (lending us board games on a rainy afternoon when we had tired legs from hiking) without being intrusive or overbearing. The house is simple but has everything you need for your stay. It was impeccably clean and very comfortable. The POIl burned in the kitchen keeps it toasty and there is a heater in the bedroom to use at night if needed (hydro-electricity permitting). Flo&Izi will provide fresh bread, veg (subject to the season) and eggs from their own hens - all of which were perfect (and not expensive). You can order frozen meals too (COVID prevented anything else), we had bean chilli which was delicious. Knoydart is fairly wild - we did a couple of walks along the beach, up into the hills to a hidden Loch and along the road to the small village that you arrive in on the ferry. Plenty of deer sightings and even a seal in the Loch outside the front door. If you like wilderness, amazing Scottish scenery and want an escape this is definitely the Air BnB for you. We’ll be back as soon as we can!

We had a wonderful time at Samadalan! We loved staying in this cozy cottage with amazing views. Luckily, we had 3 days of sunshine and explored Knoydart on foot (following Isi's great hiking recommendations). On our little adventures we spotted minke whales, dolphins, seals, deer and lots of different birds. There are great sea swimming spots close to the cottage and further afield in local lochs. Flo and Isi have been great hosts, sharing all relevant information in advance, being very welcoming throughout, and providing us with lots of useful information about the local community and trip recommendations. We can't wait for our return! Thanks both for the opportunity to stay with you.

We had the most amazing stay at Samadalan! Incredible views, beautiful beaches + such lovely hosts. The cottage is really sweet, clean and secluded, with amazing walks. We definitely want to come back!
