It is a difficult balance to preserve the rustic nature of a Georgian Bay retreat all while having modern-day conveniences, and Joe and his family have threaded this needle to perfection. The care and attention that has been put into this charming property is evident throughout. We especially enjoyed the solar-lit walkways, the fishing-themed decorations, the swimming deck with lily-pad and the adult/child kayaks. Wonderful views around the island along with different sleeping quarters make for an ideal family vacation. The island is also provisioned with everything you need which takes the pressure off when planning and packing. This was a very memorable vacation all around and we are grateful for our stay.

Fantastic property.Has everything you need for your vacation, just bring your personal belongings and food. Had wonderful weekends with all family members ,even the kids had great time.

Staying on the island is an experience that you will remember and share for the rest of your life! Joe & Carrie have created a guide that is truly well planned out to help support your stay. Every section of the island seems to be meticulously planned out; from the perfect sunset that falls directly between an opening between 2 nearby islands to the private hot tub location and secluded fire pit. The island is fully stacked with cookware (everything you can think of), linens, towels (beach, shower, hand and face), fans, fishing gear, life jackets, water toys(!!!), movies, games, books, kids toys, flashlights, all cleaning products, all toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, cotton balls, q-tips, razors, feminine products & more!), hair dryer (and diffuser), portable Bluetooth speaker, bug spray, sunscreen, kids toys... all you need to bring is food & clothes! If you have your own jet ski or boat bring I recommend bringing it. We were able to venture out every day on our sea doo. There are lots of surrounding islands and coves to be explored. Whether you are looking for a couples retreat or a multi-family getaway, Black Bass Island has everything you could desire!
