This is the worst Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. Photos are of the cabana must have been taken years ago, as they do not accurately depict what we found during our stay. Significant grease on the stove and kitchen surfaces = grease fire. Exposed wiring and fuse box = fire or electrocution. Visible mold throughout the lodging, including what appeared to be black mold, = health hazards with allergies and other reactions. Poor food handling, dishes left for hours in public areas, and collected recycling lying on the ground = health hazards with food-borne illness and insects. Most of these issues were not discovered until we returned from dinner at 9:00pm (and the food/cleanliness issues in public dining area weren’t found until breakfast). Sandra declined my refund request. This clearly used to be a charming, well-kept resort. I am sorry we didn’t get to stay there about 30 years ago!!

I wanted a couple of days to get over jet-lag before starting my bird watching trip and this location is on the river next to the jungle, and very close to the airport. I saw about 70 species right on the grounds, so I was delighted. The onsite personal are accommodating about taking people across the river and to other locations, including restaurants or supermarkets.
