The house has a lot of history and has been around since the early 1900’s… There were a few downsides to it. The first one being the smell as soon as you walk in was very strong. It smelled like a combination of dirty cat litter, cat pee and someone who has smoked in the house for a couple of years. We tried to air it out and every time we closed up and left we came back to that smell again. We weren’t allowed to try to mask the smell with any candles due to no flames of any kind on property. The second downside was the bathroom with the shower had mold and rust on the curtains. There was also possible mold on one of the curtains in the bedroom with the 2 beds. We also noticed the oven was slightly warm the entire stay but was completely off. It could just be that the stove is older but luckily nothing ever happened. We did end up using it and everything went fine. Some of the outlets don’t work in selective parts of the house, we would’ve liked to have more options in the bedrooms.

This place is really small. The 1.5 baths is misleading as there is just 1 bathroom. The toilet is in a diff room than the shower. The house reeked of Marijuana. I think the downstairs tenant was smoking it up. The linens in the 2 bed bedroom were gross. They were covered in hair, almost as if they didn't bother changing them from the last guests. There were no extra blankets to use. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a meal. The house was in a good location as everything was in walking distance. I wouldn't go back to this place but definitely back to the Island. Not recommended for people with small kids. Steep stairs and not child friendly.

Beautiful location on Catalina. The house had a lot of character and history. The beds were comfortable and shower pressure was nice.

The house was nice but we had a concern with the tenant below. Our infant daughter was teething and crying in the mornings (7am-ish) and a few times there a was banging on the ceiling from below us when we were in the kitchen. We took it as some sort of retaliation from the downstairs tenant. It rubbed us the wrong way, the whole appeal of the house was that it was child-friendly since it had a pack-n-play.
