My family and I really enjoyed staying at Hawk Haven. The place looked exactly as the photos displayed online. The residence was clean and provided a great amount of space for all 18 of my family members. The kitchen, dining, and living room open concept allowed for us to cook, eat, and relax all while keeping us in close proximity to each other. The game room was great and was used constantly. The host was awesome at communicating both instructions for our stay and additional activities available in the area. The only downside is we couldn’t stay longer, but we will return!

Our family really enjoyed the private swimming area at this home! The water outside the small sandy area was shallow and clean- perfect for our young grandchildren! The gameroom was great -- especially during the one rainy day we encountered! Having multiple bathrooms was so helpful! The kitchen had all the cooking and baking supplies needed! We really enjoyed our time here!

The geese are a huge problem. Maintenance comes every morning, however, it's impossible to keep up. Therefore, outdoor lawn recreation is out of the question. The area is rural and economically challenged. There is a gas station, family dollar and coffee shop close by. Restaurants and supermarket are a 30 mile round trip. Nice homes on the lakefront, but properties on the far side of road are pretty rough. Including right across the street. Area not really nice. It was quiet, neighbors close, but fine. If you want to sit and fish, I could recommend this area. House spotless, kitchen well eqipped. Plenty of space for gathering inside.

Frustrating/misleading booking process where a 5:00PM check-in results in a full day’s charge being assessed for what would amount to a mere 7 hours of occupancy. There is a very significant geese infestation that compromises use of yard and beach at times that was never mentioned. Maintenance staff performed clean up of geese droppings daily after 9:00AM which made use of the yard, beach and dock unavailable in the morning. The canoe made available for use with the property had a duct-taped hole in it that took on water making it unusable. The posted rules and "quick tips" throughout the property about maintenance schedules/garbage pick up are not accurate. A lawn cutting crew showed up mid day on a non-posted day to perform service and ignored pleas to refrain from getting close to yard areas that had been set up for children. Garbage pick up was later than posted. Check out policy included having guests do a load of towel laundry for the hosts. Disappointing; buyers beware.

This place was great for multiple families and smaller kids. The little beach in the backyard was really nice.
