Fantastic house best one I have stayed in so far

Lovely modern house. Fantastic location, clean, great facilities. Pretty much every creature comfort that you could ask for. Obviously built as a holiday home to be rented out as opposed to a family home, and you can tell this by the quality of some of the furniture etc. Also all glasses were plastic, no glass. But absolutely fine and fit for purpose. Even has kids toys, games and DVDs available. Very clean, immediately felt comfortable when we arrived. Well equipped throughout the house including gym equipment in the garage. Only thing missing was a coffee machine. Glass windows and the views are fantastic. House does get incredibly hot however (temp outside was 19 degrees and with blinds open, rooms were hitting 30+ degrees inside). Would dread to think what this is like in a hot summer, so worth considering if you prefer a cooler house (no air con installed). High chair provided for our baby was great. Travel cot was also provided - wasn’t the best quality travel cot but did the job and was clean. Bed lining, towels etc all also very clean. Bins need to be placed outside in sacks at the end of the road before 7am on a Friday (signs saying cannot leave out the night before) which is far from ideal if you want a lay in. Driveway very small. Can just about squeeze two cars on at a real push. No garden but a large terraced area out the back that overlooks the golf course. You are but a few meters away from one of the tees so with blinds open golfers can see right into your house. Didn’t bother us but if you want to sunbathe outside in privacy, this wouldn’t be the best property to do that! Unfortunately there is one HUGE downside which means I cannot give 5 stars, and that is the wifi. Mobile phone reception in the house is awful (very patchy, either incredibly slow or no service at all), so wifi is critical both for data and calls. The wifi signal itself in the house is weak (for example in the master bedroom it completely drops out as the signal strength from the router is too weak). When you are connected the speed is painfully slow, and very inconsistent. There was the odd occasion when the wifi was running at 10mb, but most of the time when I speed tested it, it was running below 1mb! Like being back in the early 2000’s! We booked specifically as there was a ‘dedicated workspace’ listed, and I needed to work during the daytime while we stayed. (Side note, The downstairs office is not well soundproofed so if you have family elsewhere in the house downstairs, even with the door shut, you hear their every word and vice versa). The poor phone signal and lack of suitable wifi meant that I had to drive down the road to find better phone signal, and work from the car during the day feathered to my iPhone! This nearly completely ruined the trip, as also meant that there was no car available for my partner and young son (rainy days meant they were completely stuck in the house!). Wifi okay for checking the odd email, but not suitable for a full days work with Zoom calls etc. I did contact the host who advised that the weather does "impact the wifi”. This was true to an extent. When there was heavy rain the Wifi was basically unusable for anything at all (couldn’t even load webpages). When there was glorious sunshine webpages did load (eventually), but even then the speed was still incredibly bad. Such poor connectivity is simply unacceptable in 2022, especially in a premium property that advertises a dedicated workspace. Alas, whilst the house is great, without significant wifi improvements (boosters around the house as well as a significant upgrade in connection speed), I would not consider this property again and would advise against it. However, if internet connect / speed for general browsing is not important and you and have no work to be doing whilst away, this is the perfect property!
