Very friendly and accommodating to our last minute delay due to post-eclipse traffic. Do not follow gps instructions that take you to Danby Mtn Road. It us unpaved and very windy and it was dark. Just take Rt 7.
We had a lovely one night at this historic site. I have family in Vermont and upstate NY so this was a great option to have access to both. John made a wonderful breakfast with homemade bread and jam, coffee, etc. This Vermont home was cozy and filled with items acquired through the years. It’s so authentic and meaningful. We really loved our long breakfast with John talking about a variety of topics. He is well traveled and read which is a cause for fruitful conversation. We did have to leave one night early. The bed is quite firm and the shower head didn’t have much pressure at all. Being a historic site the floors are very very noisy when you walk on them. I brought a sound machine but still woke up to the noise of the floors when my parter was walking. Overall it was a pleasure to stay here for the time we did.
John and Paula were very welcoming and friendly. Quick to respond and accurately explained everything. The house has a history with a lot of charm.
We had a wonderful stay in the third floor suite! John was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We had a lovely breakfast and conversation with John on Sunday morning. Overall, tavern was beautiful and cozy.
John and Paula were extraordinarily kind, friendly, and accommodating hosts. The place is not only spacious and immaculately clean, but an incredibly well restored piece of American history! Not every day one gets to stay on a property that has a Wikipedia page! The area is incredibly gorgeous, with many things available for the outdoorwardly inclined. Would absolutely recommend to anyone staying in the area.
从前门步行即可欣赏美景。距离多塞特村中心的餐厅仅3分钟车程。 附近有一条溪流和一个古老的大理石采石场供游泳。Merck Forest & Farmland中心就在附近。
