Surf City Hostel opened in 1996 in Hermosa Beach, California, and is located about 20 minutes' drive south of LAX Airport in one of the best areas of Los Angeles. Popular with guests include our location on the beach, the bars, nightclubs, restaurants within walking distance, supermarkets, and much more. And we are right in front of the beach! Be aware of noise since we are above a bar! We don't accept people living within 50 miles radius of Hermosa Beach, CA. We will ask for physical ID's This listing is for a females only dorm. You must be a female to be allowed to stay in this room type.

I had such a nice stay! The staff are very awesome and friendly! Felt like a little family. Someone would check in with me everyday. Their daily events are very fun and helpful for those who are traveling solo. The staff have very good work ethics and attitudes. The place is very safe and clean! I hope to stay here again in the future!

The hostel does not have its own parking lot, however you can find paid street parking off of Hermosa Ave between 11th and 8th streets. Additionally, there is free street parking off of Ardmore Ave between 11th and 8th streets if you are willing to walk a little further.
