Dan and Sonja are phenomenal hosts. The space we stayed in was spotless, the amenities were amazing. It was a peaceful and serene atmosphere. My family and i absolutely loved our stay.

This place is absolutely heavenly!!!! I came to get away from the hustle & bustle of life, & this place did not disappoint. The home is surrounded by dense, natural forests. When you walk out on the deck, it feels like Mother Nature's hugs. There is a babbling brook on the side of the home: sounds like a mini waterfall. The countryside from the front of the building is unbelievably scenic wherever you walk. Shops of all kind are only a 15-20 minute into town. It is so quiet, tranquil & peaceful. Wildlife is all around. Don't forget to look up too. Such a variety of birds in the area to admire. Of course, be aware of the land wildlife too. They are there but they won't really bother you as long as you don't bother them. There are hiking trails, albeit natural since there is not a lot of visitors in the area. I love the density & undisturbed forest to explore. Never ending adventures. As for the suite, this place is unbelievable. This studio is huge, & the ceilings are so high that the acoustics are fun. Comfortable seating throughout the place. Kitchen is a dream. The projection tv was such a treat - WOW! It has everything available from regular tv, nostalgic tv, all kinds of movies, music, sports & gaming. So many apps if you want to sign into your own accounts otherwise they are available (eg. Netflix, Prime, Apple, etc.) I loved having movie marathons. The reclining chairs are so comfortable & perfect for this setting. I would say this place is an amazing escape from the stresses of the world, be it a short visit or long term. This is truly an artists' dream place. Whether you draw, photograph, meditate, write, hike, movie buff, gamer, sports enthusiast, this place greatly satisfies. Thank you Dan & Sanja. It has been a pleasure working with you both. Thank you for making my stay so comfortable, relaxing & tranquil. I look forward to visiting again. Until then, keep smiling, always & all ways :) :P :D

This Airbnb has a great open floor plan, is spacious, quiet, clean and the epitome of comfort. High ceilings - great natural light, ample parking and on either side reside neighbors that are friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I am going to miss the beautiful floors and the epic chandelier. I stayed here as my home nearby was undergoing some major restorarion and repairs .. I have Dan to thank for furnishing his Airbnb space with black leather reclining theatre seats AND for the $5000.00 I just spent!! I realized these chairs are amazing and I need them for my own living room! 😂 I appreciated being able to have my 2 little dogs with me. (Note: Pet friendly, as long as you don’t have cats due to allergies!) Surrounding the air bnb are endless tree lined country roads, and it’s literally 12 minutes from whatcom exit - the location of restaurants, grocery store, Starbucks, sushi and a plethora of other shops and stores. Close to train tracks - but not at all noisy and the train conductors always give a friendly wave when they pass by. Sara and her cute daughter (extension/family of host) was on site to assist with anything, and was communicative, has great customer service skills and is a total sweetheart. The radical candor feedback drawback for me was not having a washer / dryer for an approximate 3 week duration - but we made it work. If you are on holidays and not requiring this - will be a non issue for you. Thank you for the lovely stay!
