Check in was very easy, lots of beautiful nature and wildlife to see. Felt right at home. We didn’t get to enjoy the front deck since ir had snowed the previous the night but there is tables, benches to be able to have breakfast/ lunch or whatever you desire while enjoying the beautiful views. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had lots of kitchenware to use, we will be definitely staying here again. Thank you!

This cabin is tucked in a very nice little mountain town with any essentials you might need. Even with a local saloon that is the oldest in California. (Which has amazing food). We stayed here while visiting the yomesite in winter(quite a bit of snow). Was very accessible and relatively close to the park (28 minutes to Yosemite gate ). One of the closest places to stay to this side of the park. I was definitely disappointed with the check in process. Check in was at 3pm. I had not received any of check in details until around 1:30pm when I had to reach out to ask for them personally. When I reached out I was called by Al, in which he told me I would have to wait and extra hour until 4pm to even check in. It was 30 degrees out and we had driven from San Diego. We had no where else to go seeing how the area is in the mountains secluded. Kinda disappointed in the lack of communication ahead of time and no compensation for this inconvenience. Although was a great stay. Would recommend.

A very nice, large and comfortable cabin in a very quiet community. Great kitchen! Deers and turkeys around the house in the morning. We were visiting Yosemite NP from here. There great bars and diners close the cabin. We loved the place.

We do NOT advise renting from this host; we had a terrible experience! The heater was not working during our stay. We contacted Al several times, and he never seemed concerned about fixing the issue. We arrived on a Thursday and couldn't get the heater to work. We didn't insist with Al because it was Thanksgiving night. We woke up to 50F and wrote instantly to Al. Although he had the whole Friday to solve the problem, he hid behind the excuse that finding someone to fix the heater would be hard, even though several companies around Groveland could fix the issue. On Saturday, after much insistence from our side, he provided 2 small electric heaters that cost around $70 on Amazon, which were insufficient to increase the house's temperature from 50F to 55F. As a result of this whole experience, all the guests got sick (Al hung up on my wife after she told him this). Also, the house was not properly clean (& charges a high cleaning fee). And we had never complained about a stay before
