We really enjoyed our stay at Tsewang's place. It is as described and as shown in the pictures. Tsewang and his parents were very warm and welcoming and very helpful. Tsewang arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport and bring us to his place. We were able to pay for meals with them and buy bottled water very cheaply which made everything much easier, especially the first day we arrived when we had to sleep to acclimatise. They even helped with getting our Inner Line Permits. Tsewang's place is a little more basic than some of the adverts for the hotels, but we wanted to have as little impact on Ladakh as possible. Homestays definitely appear to be the most eco-responsible way to travel in Ladakh. The location was excellent. About 15-20 mins walk to the bazaar but far enough away to be peaceful and not near the mosque - so no 5 am wake-up calls!

Nice hospitality, and very helpful arrangement with just about anything. By western standards, there is space for improvement in cleanliness, but don't forget Ladakh is India.

My first time in Leh, I was made to feel right at home with a warm welcome. As I travelled to Ladakh to explore by motorbike, I was very happy to receive advice and information from the family of this comfortable homestay. They even looked after my backpack whilst I left for a few days. 10 minutes walk from the main market, I enjoyed my stay. Thank you.
