Caibarien’s sea wall is just in front of our Hostel, it goes around the coast, you can enjoy the beautiful view and visit it to meditate by the sea.
The Center of the City is located less than 600 mts away from Hostel El Malecón, surrounded by several interesting places such as:
- The Catholic Church, recently restored.
- Maria Escabar Laredo's Museum.
- The Gallery of Arts Leopoldo Romañach.
- The Bar, Restaurant The Tavern, with the exact decoration of a pirate tavern, where you find diverse offers of food and beverages.
- El Banco Popular de Ahorro, El Banco de Créditos y Servicios, both with serveral automatic cashiers you can operate 24 hours and CADECA where you can make any kind of transaction.
- Specialized stores like Artex, Caracol, TRD and Panamricana.
You can also visit the old Warehouses where sugar was stored and exported in the Spanish Colony(URL HIDDEN) Bar La Ruina, located 300 mts away from the Hostel, in the oldest building in town, where you can also be refreshed with the international cocktails and national beers.
Heading north is the 48 km road, built over the sea that takes you to the beautiful touristic pole Santa Maria, where there are various hotels and entertaining activities. Among the most important touristic paradises:
- Santa Maria Beach.
- Ensenachos Beach.
- Las Brujas Beach.
60 km of Caibarién (1 hour), you can visit the gorgeous Santa Clara City, it's the capital of the province, where you can find:
- El Memorial del Che, where the Hero's remains rest and some other fighters of the bolivian struggle.
- Theater “La Caridad”, National Monument and symbol of the Neoclassic Cuban Architecture.
- La Universidad Central de las Villas.
- The park Leoncio Vidal.
- Library José Martí.
- Museum Artes Decorativas.
Heading south, 7 km away from Caibarién is Remedios City, it's the 8th village founded in Cuba, it celebrates 500 years of history, with a remarkable cultural heritage and special gastronomic offers:
- The Parroquial Church San Juan Bautista, with it's wooden altar plated in gold in a baroque style, unique in the country.
- La Hermita del Buenviaje, situated 200 mts away from the Parroquial Church, what makes it special because it´s the only square that has two churches that close in Cuba.
- Cafeteria “El Louvre”, it's the oldest cafeteria in Cuba, it has a total view of the square and you can taste “El trago de la Parroquia” prepared in this place.
- Tavern “Los 7 Juanes”, it´s main charateristic is that it´s a specialized Cava where wine lovers can enjoy a great selection of this beverage.
- The Museum of the Music “Alejandro García Caturla”, he was a very important musician of the 20th century who revolutionized the concert music in the island.
- The “Driver´s Bar”, a very old bar in the city with a decoration of that time.
- Specialized store of Coffee and Tobacco “Los Tres Príncipes”.
- The Snack Bar “El Golazo”, that is a Disco at night to enjoy national and international music.
